PRceptive is “On The Air”

With more than 100 million users on Facebook, and just about everything available on YouTube, it is tough to ignore such a powerful influence. Moreover, it is even tougher to ignore the effect of these networks in business. Therefore, this site is built on a Blog platform.
This site will offer perspectives and advice on topics such as: media “do’s and don’t’s”; finding “story gems” within your company; why customer reference programs matter and why businesses should do them; how to approach traditional and broadcast media; and why blogging is of the utmost importance to business success; plus much more.
PRceptive is building its own social community. We have created our own Facebook Group, where members are free to share ideas about our business – Customer Reference Programs, Social Media Programs and Traditional Media Relations.
You can also keep track of what is going on with PRceptive’s founder, Kathryn Schwab, through Twitter. And you can always add Kathryn to your contacts at LinkedIN, Plaxo, or send an invite on SKYPE (kaschwab1).
Whether or not you are an avid personal user of online networks, your business simply cannot afford to overlook them as an avenue to tell your story.
Still skeptical? We recommend these books, at minimum, to help get you there:
- Publish & Prosper: Blogging for your Business – by DL Byron and Steve Broback
- Blogging for Business: Everything You Need to Know and Why you should Care – by Shel Holtz and Ted Demopoulos
- The New Rules of Marketing and PR: How to Use News Releases, Blogs, Podcasting, Viral Marketing and Online Media to Reach Buyers Directly – by David Meerman Scott
There’s always new material coming out – but these books are a good starting point to help understand the current online world.
And visit PRceptive’s Blogroll frequently to see links to interesting (at least we think so) thought leaders in the areas of Communications, Social Media, Technology, Blogging and much more!
